Campground has at least 20 primitive spots with high lines installed. Only a few spots with highlines in the complete shade, only a couple of picnic tables. There is a nice covered shelterhouse filled with picnic tables in the middle area. Pit toliets and all I saw is one spot for water for the horses. Our horses are barefoot and do quiet well on these trails. There are some rocks but most areas are very few rocks. Lots of different loops to try. I would recomend your horses be in shape. Also all of the creeks on the trail are dried up, so no water on the trails for the horses.

The trail from the campground has been routed away from the disc golf course. Also, new trails have been built with more switchbacks so that riders can follow routes that avoid some of the steep climbs. That doesn't apply to Sugarloaf, it is still steep going up and going down but the good news is that you don't have to ride it. Many trails are shared with mtn bikers but we have never found this to be a problem. No water in the summer. Trails are well marked, make sure that you down load a map from ODNR because the map box at the trailhead is usually empty. There are lots of trail options for your ride but you have to ride the same trail to and from the trailhead.

Trails are well marked exept when the go threw the disc golf corse. Its a little confusing there are so many trails crossing in the disc golf area, but we were able to find our way threw. The hills are steep with no swichbacks. The camp has running water, and pit tolits. There are only 6 sites for horses.
