Trail Description You'll never find more scenic trails to walk or ride. Located on the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee, The Big South Fork of the Cumberland River flows north into Kentucky. Bear Lodge is located in the Bear Creek Scenic area with trailheads located just outside your door. This 3br, 2ba cabin has 5-12X12 stalls and a paddock, fully equipped kitchens, hot tub, outdoor fire circle, and decks for relaxing and grilling. Trails are rated easy, moderate, to strenuous depending on changes in elevation and water crossings. Rent 6 nights and get the 7th free...NO STALL CHARGES! REASONABLE RATES! Campground Cabin has a great circle driveway so you can easly maneuver your trailer in and out. Plan day-trips to local waterfalls to get the most out of your visit. Ride in the mountains and gorges of the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. Spectacular scenery - natural rock formations, arches, and caves. Ride into the gorge, along creeks and the river where wildlife abounds. Wide, well groomed trails and creeks, and scenic overlooks. Blue Heron Mine, an abandoned mining town, is where you can tie-up and enjoy a picnic or cool treat from the concession stand. Come visit Bear Lodge and you'll find Big South Fork is nature's best kept secret.

Directions Atop the Cumberland Plateau west of I-75 between Lexington, KY, to the north, and Knoxville, TN to the south. I-75 to Mount Vernon, KY-461 to 80-SW to Somerset-S on US 27 to KY 92 toward Stearns. Take 1651 south to Revelo and turn righ on KY 742=Mine 18 Road. Follow sign to BSFNRA and Bear Creek Resort.
