Trail Description Scenic, rock-based trails running along Bay Creek, and Hayes Creeks. Mostly wooded, with many natural waterfalls, caves, and huge rock formations and bluffs. All trails are marked, and detailed color-coded maps, and GPS coordinates are available.

Campground Located adjacent to the Shawnee National Forest. A quiet, uncluttered campground layout, with grassy picnic areas. A family-friendly camp where the children, and leashed pets are welcome. Most sites are shaded with full hook-up (30 amp. electric, and water). We also have some sites that have 20 amp. electric, and water nearby. All sites have permanent high-lines. There is a fully-furnished, 4-bedroom Lodge, with complete kitchen facilities.

Directions From Interstate 24 at exit #16, near Vienna, IL, turn left onto Hyw 146, and then left again onto Hwy 147 toward Simpson, IL. Go 13 miles. Just past the blue, state camping sign, turn left onto Cedar Grove Rd. Go just over 1/2 mile to campground, on the left.

 More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
