Trail Description Be blown away at what the Big South Fork National River and Recreation has to offer. Managed by the National Park Service, recreation is catered toward horseback riding with well marked and maintained trail systems. Gain direct access to hundreds of miles of trails as you ride off of the cabin property. Highlighted by grand rock formations, impressive natural arches, alcoves, and caves, the scenery is unlike anywhere else in the southeast. An abundance of water provides fun creek and river crossings while also offering spectacular views of waterfalls cascading from rock walls. Streams eventually lead to the Big South Fork of the Cumberland River where you could wet a hook, picinic, or just relax by the water. Whether on a ridge top taking in the expansive overlooks or riding the lush green gorges, plant and animal life abounds. The trails systems offer great riding for all levels of experience, varying in difficulty and terrain. Well marked, well maintained, and wide, the trails are easily navigable.
