Trail Description
Best Time to Visit Year round esp. fall, spring, summer. Mt. Laural in May, Sometimes warm enough to ride in the winter.
Times to Avoid Must have reservations. Best to call to check weather. Usually ok unless we have extreme weather.
Campground Camp in your camper/horsetrailer or rent a Western Town sleeping room or log cabin. Groups can rent the bunkhouse near the barn, behind the town overlooking the pond. The trails start right by the barn, mostly shaded, all types of flora & wooded trails. Room for your portable stalls. Usually hay for sale. A couple of outside stalls near trailer camp spots. Feed & tack shop nearby. Stores & motels also. Fishing pond. Solor shower. Some picnic tables. Think the old west & bring your camping supplies & horses, mules if you got them. Let's ride.

Directions Only a mile or so off Highway 90 E of Lenoir,NC. I40 to the E. Highway 18 to the W. 6 mi. Less than 2 hrs. from TN,SC,WV, Not far from Charlotte, Wilksboro, Blowing Rock, Hickory, Morganton. 321 is only 8 miles away. We will send a detailed map with reservations or call for them.No steep hills to pull up. Large trailer parking.

(Gently sloping or level terrain; trails are groomed or wide open; shallow or no creek crossings. ) 
 More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
