Trail Description Many miles of trails that are intermediate to challenging; mostly single path through forest. Many hills; some quite steep.

Times to Avoid The campground can be muddy after heavy rains.
Campground Primitive; Pit toilet; no human water; adjacent to creek for horse water. Some weekends, such as holidays, the campground is full by Friday night, or even late week. It's first come, first served. If campground is full, try Great Seal or Hocking Hills.

Directions From US 23 in Chillicothe, follow US 50 east to Londonderry (as they say, don't blink or you will miss it). Turn left on S.R. 327, go 2 to 3 miles and turn left on Poe Run Rd. The horseman's camp is 4-5 miles up Poe Run on your right.

 Easy
(Gently sloping or level terrain; trails are groomed or wide open; shallow or no creek crossings. ) 
 More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
