Trail Description Trails are easy. Most are Wide. Water in some areas along with some bridges. Equine Riders will encounter vehicles, hikers, motorcycles and some on bikes. Many options for trails. Wharton State also offers a camp site for Equine riders. However there is no water hook up nor bathrooms. Perfect for a long day ride also.

Directions From northern NJ take Rt 206 South towards Hammonton. The entrance is on Rt 206 across from the Atison Lake. Which is where the Ranger Station/Park Office is. There is a sign to please park horse trailers in the back and to please clean up after our horsey friends. No Permit needed to ride.

(Gently sloping or level terrain; trails are groomed or wide open; shallow or no creek crossings. ) 
 More Difficult (Moderate hills over consistent surface; possibly some narrow trails and short steeper slopes) 
 Rigorous (Easy to More Difficult for rider but physically challenging for horse such as on a level surface through deep sand) 
 Challenging (Possible rocky, uneven surface, steep slopes, uncleared trails, faster flowing streams and other obstacles that lead to more difficult riding for rider and horse)
