Staying during the week made the campground very peaceful and quiet. Pastures were nice but pens are small. No shade in the electric area with pastures. Bathroom/shower is quite a walk. The Wrangler room is quite nice with all comforts of home except water (bathroom outside of door in hallway). Shoes are a must on trails.

Mostly shady well maintained trails. Marked trails with maps. Well maintained campground. Water hydrant at entrance and water tank wagons throughout campground. Check out Outback Ranch website for NEW LOWER PRICES !!!! With no vehicle and trail pass required this makes Outback Ranch more affordable. No problem turning on to road with 4H-LQ (39 ft)- road is narrow for short distance at end. Linda & Pat - Iowa and Indiana Cowgirls.

Impossible turn onto the road to camp and a very bad area to turn around at. Camp road is very narrow. Camp in an open field with no shade. Porta potty - WHAT? & only 1! State owned Wet Bark is a better camping area.

A fairly new trail system, all the trails are not always mapped. But the scenery is awesome, trails are very nice. Camp grounds and sites are very well maintained. All in all this is a little known about jewel for all trail riders and campers with horses. AWESOME!! And we will be back!! Oh, by the way! They offer entertainment on weekends! an awesome extra worth going too!!
