I really enjoy riding at Fausett Farms. The trails are nicely maintained, and almost all of them are wide enough to ride side by side. The trails are marked very well, and there are plenty of watering holes. There is a few hitching posts near a pond, with an area to grill, and an in-woods outhouse (with a crescent moon and everything). There are a few different loops through the woods to chose from; and you can ride across the street in open fields too. The Blue and Yellow trail are easy enough for an Intermediate Novice. The Pink/Purple trail in the open fields an easier ride as well. I recommend the Red and Black trails for the more experienced rider. The Red trail has a nice steady incline up the mountainside, which I love to open up my horse into a full gallop. (So fun!) The Black trail has some of the steepest terrain. They have wash racks at the trailhead to cool down your horse after the ride. The campsite is in view of the roadside at the trailhead, and is just a hookup with access to a port-a-pot. This isn't ideal, but the trails definitely make up for what the "campsite" lacks. This is absolutely one of my favorite places to ride!

These trails are beautiful and in great shape. There is a lot of up and down, but the footing is good and there is lots of water along the trail. Day riders are using them for pleasure riding, while serious distance riders can do some awesome conditioning rides. Our recent NATRC event used the primative camping, which was incredibly level and provided well water for the horses, portable toilet and a big covered shed for our meetings. But I know that Danny Fausett has already added a few water/electric hookups and even some paddocks for overnight use. There were just not enough of those for all of our competitors to have one. This is a great new trail system close to metro Atlanta, so we will be back often.

Just got back from a CTR at Fausett Farms. The trails and views are amazing. Love the picnic areas with tie-ups for the horses and port-a-potties for convenience. Also along the trails are strategically placed mounting blocks. Camping sites are level since chicken houses once stood there. Danny Fausett had planted 600,000 mammoth sunflowers for our viewing pleasure and they were spectacular. Payment is on the honor system with maps and information in the barn. This is a new, still being developed horse facility. The trails are already great, and with the improvements Danny has planned, I look forward to many more visits. I gave the camp 3 stars only because it is primitive. Otherwise, it's great. Very easy to bring in even the biggest rig, port-a-potties all through the campsites, well water available near the barn and a stream that runs behind the camp. Nice washracks and wheelbarrows available to haul manure to a dump site.
