We spent the entire month of July 2016 at Shalimar Farm. We rented the cabin "Trackside" which overlooked a 4 acre paddock and shelter for our 2 horses. We rode on the Farm, National Forest and Greenbrier River trail. George and Mickey Deike are superb hosts. The farm is spectacular. Shalimar Farm provides a very private venue catering to small groups or individuals. Need a break from the saddle?--the Cass Scenic Railroad runs through the property with regular excursions on 100 year old Shay coal fired steam locomotives. Bring your bike and ride the Greenbrier River trail. Hike the trails on Shalimar Farm or venture out and explore what Pocahontas County has to offer. If you have an equestrian vacation bucket list--move Shalimar Farm to the top. |
