This was our first trip to the Mt. Royal Trail Ride in Chester. The weather was gorgeous and cold but the friendship and camaraderie more than warmed us up. The trail ride itself was two days in some of the most rugged, untamed parts of land joining the Ozark Mountains. I had a ball! The accomodations were primitive, pretty much what you brough with you, but plenty of room for horse trailers and temporary corrals. Great chuckwagon meals, terrific Friday night campfire show with door prizes, and an awesome Saturday night concert by Royal Wade Kimes and his band. It was a lot of fun and the challenges of the trail were well worth the views. We're going back!

My grown son and I traveled 700 miles to go to the 1st annual MT Royal trail ride in Chester, AR. We were greeted by Royal Wade Kimes and his staff. There was large area for all to park horse trailer. All our needs were met. We were impressed by the Wrangler's complete Western Cowboy dress and beautiful horses. There were even a few donkey's. The 6 hour ride was relaxing and well organized and a bit challenging. Water breaks with snacks were provided. The scenery was breathtaking. When we arrived at the camp area, we felt like we had stepped back in time. There was a chuck wagon and campfire. After a great meal (slabs of steak and all the fixings). There was singing around the campfire with the harvest moon above us. The trail down the MT. was challenging also. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Then a full concert was provided by Royal Wade and his full band. What a great time we had. We are already signed up for this year. Don't miss this one.

We went last year on the ride, had a large time. These folks know how to show you a good time. The food was great the camping was in a beautiful place, the people are even better, the ride was terrific and from what I hear from Wade it is even going to better this year. We met Wade and his group for the first time, loved his music and in my book he is a special person with more talant than I have seen in a singer in a long time. It will be well worth your while to join us on the next ride. We also met and made some new friends, somthing a man can't have to many of. But then horse people are some of the nicest people in the world. Hope to see you there!

We went to the 1st Annual trail ride last year. It was a real good time. It was authentic chuck, and pard I got to tell you it was good. The ride was beautiful, some of the best scenery in Arkansas. We had live music both nights. The people that we rode with were really nice. I think that anybody that goes will be pleasantly suprised with how down to earth everyone is. This is one of the best trail rides in the state. It's packed with history, good music, good food, and good people. You'll be sorry you missed it. We're gonna make it an every year ride. So come out and see us this year, and make sure you pack all your gear. It will go on rain or shine. Well, hope to see ya on the trail, me and the boys will be waitin on ya.
