There is a lot of trails. Beautiful scenery on all the trails. Some of the trials are very rocky. I would recommend shoes all the way around. plenty of water in the creek and in a water/stock tank at the campground. The campground has plenty of parking an good tie lines. There are some tie lines in the woods along the trails however; they are not well marked on trail maps. In fact, I found that the trail maps are not that good in all. You should not get lost but pay attention. The creek crossings have muddy banks and the water may be swift. There are some long steep hills, make sure your mount is in shape. Good riding.

Beaver Creek is a frequent stop for us every year. The trails keep getting better and better marked. Had some problems with a very steep and wet section of the yellow trail starting out from camp. When it is wet the bottom trails can be very boggy. The upper trails remain nice most of the time. The campground is clean, the other riders keep the areas cleaned up, and the manure bins are emptied regularly. Water remains an issue here, there was no water buffalo out the weekend we were there and we had to use the hand pump. A campground host is present on site most weekends.

First time at Beaver Creek.Campground was nice, restrooms was very well kept.Trails was super nice,we could not believe how cool it was in the woods(outside temps in the low 90s but in the woods it seemed 10 degrees cooler.Creek was very nice and trails were super.Several softball sized rocks on the hill parts of the trails but we have shoes with drill tec on our mules so that was not an issue. Some of our group rode horses unshod and got along fine.We are aready talking about going back this fall.

We ride here a lot. It is challenging sometimes. We trail blaze and it may seem like we are lost for a bit but we always end up back where we started. The campgrounds are good with pickets and a large field in the center for day riders. It is very rocky, even a typically sound barefoot horse should have shoes as the rocks are big and every where. There are places in the creek you can swim your horse. If you dont know the creek and it is high best to ask someone where to cross as it can be dangerous. This place is not for a beginner who wants nice easy trails you and your horse have to work!

This is a great place to ride and camp. Trails are marked but some trail intersections are not real clear. We had a great guide (Dave&Sally) our first day who showed us the yellow trail. The rest of the week Crazy Charlie showed us the park. There were no maps when we got there. The ranger brought trail maps when we asked him. Getting to the Horsemens camp was the worst part of our trip, map quest send you to the main office even when you put in the horse camp address.Go to Rogers take Rt#7 South to Y inRd take left (that is Sprucevale Rd follow to Horsemens camp). We will return to ride again. Water for horses is available in large spring fed tank and a hand pump is also there. There is a nice cowboy shower house available. Picket lines are in the trees so horses have shade. people need to put manure in bins, not in trees so trees aren't killed and shade lost. No fire rings or picknic tables. Local OHC has done great job on camp and trails.

out of all the places we ride this is my number 1 in ohio. the trails are fast and fun. it can be muddy at times but they have worked a lot on that. trails are well marked but if you don't pay attention you can get off trail.orange is my favorite trail i think this is the 13 mile one, we pack a lunch on this one.

Our trail riding group makes this trip an annual event! The trails are awesome! Lots of water crossings, hills and great scenery. I like taking my young horses here, by the time the weekend is over, I have a horse that will cross water and other obstacles on the trail. There are trails for every type rider... Stay close to camp for the easier trails. Would recommend your horse be in shape and have shoes on if you take the Orange or Yellow trail. Campground is very nice and clean. There is a water pump for water for the horses. Lots of tie lines. The only fault I can find is that there are no showers available. This year they added a "sun-shower" for those that want to go through the hassle of bringing a water bag.

The trails were very good and a lot of water crossings. Beautiful area. The only problem with the horse camp is the water situation. If you don't bring your own water, you have to wait for them to bring a tank and we had to finally call the fire department before the park would bring it. Also would be nice to have more than one restroom stall and maybe a shower?
