First time experience with Mammoth Cave Horse Camp, and they did NOT disappoint. Very accommodating from the time we pulled our rig in. The camp sites were large and easy to back in. The stalls, shower house and restrooms were awesome. We were planning our next trip on our 2nd day there. We can't wait to go back

Owners Kevin & Janet have provided the most lovely & enjoyable campground we've been too! They have thought of everything for the camper and horses. It's very apparent that our stay is important, and they work hard for our return visits! Our second trip here (we booked our third upon checkout} and had a great time riding! Trails from beginner to expert (they have one of the most interesting, challenging trails we've been on), stalls are covered, water nearby and muck cleaning tools available too. Camp is spacious, as are sites. They have a fantastic building for the entire camp to meet up, eat and enjoy a game of cards with a fireplace reminiscence of National Park Lodges. The food is excellent also. Everything at this campground speaks of professionalism & perfection. Loved the lunchtime rides, eating right in the forest! The folks that have been coming here for decades, know firsthand the wonderful benefits of a stay here. We cannot wait to go back!

The trails were much improved from my last visit 10 yrs ago: scenic and well maintained. The all inclusive week of 3 meals a day, entertainment EVERY night and great facilities could only be improved by adding hay baling or wood cutting: I do not have the self discipline to curb eating all the wonderful food! Janet and Kevin are consummate hosts and have created a welcoming and fun experience and even smile and join in the whole way through the week! Thank you so and already deposited for 2026!

WOW! What a fantastic weekend of riding! The Camp is amazing! Every site was clean, level, and spacious. Camp hosts Kevin and Janet were exceptionally nice and amazing! The bath houses were clean (I would suggest to clean out the light fixtures in the showers tho and maybe put those shower heads on a slide so the taller people have a little better access to the water ;)) The campground was clean. The stalls were spacious and I loved that y'all provided a place to put up our tack where it would be out of the elements. Round pen/arena was well taken care of. Now the trails! Wow! they were great! Beginner to Expert and very well marked. I cannot wait to come back! Thank you Kevin and Janet for a great weekend adventure!

Would be nice to have a suggestion box just incase someone finds something that needs fixed. Then Chris can check it frequently and fix a problem when he has time instead of people trying to chase him down to tell him, ie boards popped off between stalls.

Beautiful Trails for the whole family. Not as difficult as we usually do but so fun to relax and have fun on the girls trip! We even enjoyed the obstacle course. Hopefully some things will be added and updated on the obstacle course for the next trip.

Kevin and Janet are wonderful hosts, they make you feel like family! The food was EXCELLENT and the fellowship with the riders was TERRIFIC. We just completed 4 years at the Fall Ride, we're booked for next year already. We always look forward to this ride, we've been trail riding about 25 years. We've traveled many miles, so thankful this is a short drive for us as we live in Glasgow, Ky.

The campground is very nice, large clean bathhouse, instant hot water in the private room showers. Good stalls. Camp host, Chris, was great - shared lots of info about the trails & recommended where we rode. There are easy, wide trails and challenging trails. Nice little obstacle trail to play on. We rode Chicken Hollow (Wet Prong, Collie Ridge, Blair) a very nice easy 10 mile loop with some creek crossings. For more of a challenge we rode McCoy Hollow/First Creek - the hills were not steep, but plenty of rocky places to navigate with some places for the horses to climb or jump up/down - very beautiful with big rock formations, creeks and waterfalls - we rode all 18 miles of McCoy Hollow in one day, but next time will use the gravel road that goes up the center of the loop to make it 2 shorter days of riding. Will have to come back a few times to make sure we ride the other 40+ miles of trails we didn't get to. Easy to get to with truck & trailer. One of the best camps we've been in and great trails - definitely recommend.

The staff are the absolute friendliest and helpful. Kevin, the owner, makes you feel like you're home again. The campground has such a wonderful park like appearance. We love spending time there. The mix of trails is great. We will definently be going back. The stalls were very safe and clean.

Very family friendly atmosphere. Easy checking in. Clean bath houses. Private shower stalls. Very close to multiple attractions if you take the free Green River Ferry. Stalls were nice size. Wheel barrels and forks supplied. Water was easily accessible along with four wash racks. We really enjoyed Chris and staff and they were very attentive to our needs. Very well marked trails but inquire before you head out!!

Kevin and the camp host ( I cannot remember his name) are fantastic. It's a laid back place and we like it that way. We go at least twice a year. The upper campground (Section B) needs a little TLC. The road is washing out and the ruts are deep, the stalls have drainage issues. Nothing some drain tiles and some gravel won't fix. We will definitely continue to go back.

Great campground! Large sites and nice shower house facility. Good place for kids. The arena and obstacle trail are a really nice feature. It kept our 10 and 11 year old girls occupied when we were not out on the big trails. Stalls, bunk house and lodge were really nice as well. You must stall your horses and the main area is a long walk but they have a new area that stalls are right next to you sites which I prefer in lieu of keeping horse at your site. We rode the 10 mile loop and it had really good footing, a few rocky areas and climbs as well as a short stretch on a gravel road. We did encounter two groups of hikers and they were very respectful and helpful when I had a mule having a slight meltdown over their packs. All in all, good experience. Owners are first rate and will make your stay enjoyable.
