Second time at this park. My husband and I are new to "trail riding" as we generally have cows to pen, hunting, or some other task at hand when we saddle up to ride. Nails Creek is a great park for beginners, but if you are looking for great scenery or challenging riding, you may pass on this park. The bridge can be a booger, but it is passable. Rangers are friendly, campsites are clean, horse stalls are safe. They do advise two horses per pen, but we use 1 stall per horse for safety. Shoes for horses would be advised as there are rocky areas on the trail. The trail is singular. It is not a circle ride, and either you have to be picked up at the next park or you have to turn around and ride back through what you've already seen. |
