Trails are just beautiful - you can ride for miles and miles. Shoes or boots recommended, as trails are rocky in places. Campsite is clean and well maintained. Most sites had three pens each. Managers are very friendly and very helpful. Come out to ride for the day or stay and camp. Reasonable rates.

The equestrian center is set up with wonderful camping areas, The new owner has made vast improvements in the trails and camping area. Well worth the trip to ride here.

I would like to add that the Parrie Haynes Equestrian Center is open 24/7 and that reservations are available. 2000 acres to ride on.

Contrary to the rumors that are circulating, Parrie Haynes Equestrian Center, part of the greater Parrie Haynes Ranch is open and ready for anyone who enjoys a relaxing trail ride over several miles of trails. New management took over on 1 November 2012. No longer part of TPWD.

VERY VERY SAD. A wonderful place to ride and camp. Unfortunately politics has taken it away from us. Horsemen with trail horses should get more organized and prevent this from happening. Just another place now closed to horses.

We just returned and had a wonderful time. Showers have been put in since the last time we were there! Great marked trails. Spent 6 days there and will return again. Highly recommended.
