Mountain Stables Trails was a very good place to stay. Phil and Tammy were excellent host and the ride out was easy. The trails are very well maintained. We look forward to our next stay and HIGHLY recommend this campsite for all wishing to ride Pilot Mountain or Hanging Rock.

Nice easy trails, wide travels up and down hills, but not strenous at all. Perfect for day ride, but no horse camping facilities. Be sure to check park website, because trails are closed (gated) after rain.
