Very nice camping but no designated horse trails. You are given a forest service map and ride national forest shared with many ATVs. You need a good GPS . The riding is flat , and we don't enjoy wondering aimlessly. There is private land east of camp that is used for guided trail rides given by the ranch. I feel this camp caters to the Non horse owner and not those of us traveling with your own horses as far as the riding is concerned. We drove 950 miles and only stayed two out of the seven days we had reserved . Don't expect to ride mountain trails you will be disappointed. Its hard to top the riding in South Dakota. We thought we would try something different and it was not at all what we expected. |
