This was our first time here and we loved it. It was quiet and clean, and we always love riding in Hoosier National Forest. The pens were in the shade close to our site and had crushed stone. The owners were friendly and helpful. My husband had an accident on his horse and had to go to the ER. They offered to drive us there since it was getting dark and we were in an unfamiliar area. We declined, so he offered to grain and water our horses while we were gone. When we got back late, he helped my sore hubby into the trailer.

Memorial Day weekend 2015 found us camping with friends at Harden's Camp Tennessee In. for riding in the Hoosier National Forest, Hickory Ridge Trail system. The riding is fantastic through the hardwood forests, hill, and hollars. You are within 5-10 minutes of 3 trail heads, one of those being less than 5. This is a new campground and the owners Harrison and Bobbie Harden are working hard to make an enjoyable place for trail riders and their horses to stay. the sites are large enough for bigger LQ rigs, most are pull through but some require backing into. Each site has water and electric, there is a dumpster and a couple Port-a-pots for those with out a bathroom in their trailer. Currently there are tie lines for horses with some pens on the north end. Our horses were on the slanted hillside, but in the shade and quite comfortable. Future plans call for covered pens to replace the tie lines. We were able to purchase annual HNF horse tags when we paid for our camping after arriving on Friday afternoon. Harden's would have liked more tags but were given a limited amount by the Forest Service due to being new. Additional tags were available at the Hoosier Horse Camp about 1/2 mile south. Bobbie and Harrison were excellent hosts checking with our group to make sure our stay was enjoyable and asking for suggestions on improvements they could make to enhance campers and horses stay. We will be headed back for sure

This campground is new & being updated weekly, owners Harrison & Bobbie are working hard to make a wonderful place for everyone to come & camp & ride. They already have graveled spots, electric & water, high-line & panel stalls for horses. They have lots they still want to do & in time there camp will look as good as the rest that have been here for years. They were great hosts & made sure we had everything we needed. The trails are wonderful & they are right on the trail heads, no riding forever to get to trails or always riding the same one , many to choose from. We are looking forward to returning soon..Good Luck & Best wishes.Jeanne

I waited all winter to go to Harden's Camp Tennessee Indiana to work with Harrison Harden and my little Paso Fino. The camp is brand new with electric, water, new gravel, pens and high lines. They have accomplished so much in a short time. While they have more to do it has tons of potential. I love the location between the 2 trail heads leading to some of the most beautiful riding in Indiana. I brought my TWH and my Paso and had a blast. Harrison specializes in gaited horses and I trained with him and Lil' Joe every evening. My little horse did very well and my confidence soared. We definately had a 5 star experience! Thanks Harrison and Bobbie! Hope to be back soon to introduce my husband to you and the this part of the forest :) Excited to watch your camp grow and blossom.
