This is a great place to ride, trails well maintained, lots of places to trot, cantor or walk and see the views! have ridden several of the trails, wish they were better marked! You can ride for a couple hrs or several, many scenic places to take pics! Have enjoyed this trail since learning about it back in Oct!

Great area to ride! Jake Mountain campgroud is primitive and is first come first serve - no reservations and no fee to camp. There are a number of sites with some pull throughs that will accomodate 3 or 4 trailers as well as a number of back in sites. Most sites have picket posts in place. No water or amenities are provided so make sure that you are well prepared. The trails are very nice and adequately marked but no trail map is available at the campground or trail head. There are beautiful creek crossings and lots of up and downs, but not difficult riding. There are not many "views" here. The trails and campground are beautifully maintained by a local trail group.

Jake Mountain camp sites are designed for pull through (or back-in on some of the single sites) with room for several trailers. Sites are designed for 1,2,3, or 4 Trailers with Tie-out posts for horses. In genersl each site is isolated so that you will not see another site from your camp. No water is available but a toilet is maintained by a local horse club. The trails and camp sites are also maintained by the club. A day ride parking area is provided. Currently there is no charge to use the facility or camp ground. It is requested that you leave the site clean upon departure. Trails are excellent with some rock areas and marked. No printed map is available at camp sites. Several loop trails that allow choice of ride length from 6 to 20 miles. Most trails are shared with bikers or hikers. All we have met are curtious and has never been a problem.
