I have ridden tippy in the dead of winterand the heat of summer and when it was so wet water was standing every whereexcept the sand hills. I like rideing there and so do a lot of other people. It is A good place for beginners, horse or human and because of so much sand it is a good place to toughen a horse up. tippy is just a nice little park good for a weekend or more if you want. it is a nice place to ride any time. the one thing I don't like is the hikers on the horse trails between the tower and the campground, especially if you are dooing any hotdoggin east of the fire tower. We came down off the hill and arround the corner, and in the middle of the trail were two little kids about5&8 years of age. and their mom an dad walking close by. It scared us all. So be carefull arround the fire tower area.

Tippy is a nice place to spend a few days, and to start colts. We start all of our young horses here. The trails are nice, not as difficult as we would like. We have to go to Southern Indiana for that. We live about 15 minutes away, so very nice to go just for the day, or to camp. Would be better if there were showers, and electric, but you can't have everything. All in all, a good place to ride, and get together with friends.
