I spent 7 days here recently. The campground is just ok. Most sites are out in the sun and close together. They do have water and electric at each site. We used their dump station while leaving. Their covered stalls are too small. They also have uncovered gate pens available. The trails were mostly good, I had some trouble at first following the map because there are lots of trails close together. I ended up using a compass to orient myself and my GPS.Some trails have nice rock formations. The Rattlesnake saloon attracts customers from around the world. It is an interesting place to visit and gets loud on the weekends. I would visit here again but I left there and went 35 miles farther south to ride at Rock Bridge Canyon and liked it much better. Better trails and better campground.

map was hard to understand another couple thought so too went on one trail long way and then it dead ended into a barbwire fence had to backtrack should be more clear people there were great band was excellent

Campground like a parking lot. Full of drunk and party people. Campsites very small we couldn't fit our trailers in and the staff was not accommodating. Stalls were small & unsafe We drove 1000 miles for a 10 day stay and all they cared about was they could get their money from someone else and they didn't care whether we were there or not.

Was a hidden fee to ride on trail charged each day after paying campground cost and stall fees per horse per riding day. The salon was cool not much to choice from and slow service but was ok. We thought we would love riding but was ok nothing worth a return trip seen cave with salon. Was very disappointed but with price they charge was expecting a lot better place and safe stalls or clean bathrooms lol not here. Sorry JMHO.

Dangerous barns, filthy stalls. Narrow, crowded camp sites. The hiss of the natural gas 'station' next door is obnoxious, never-ending, 24-7 NOISE. I hated it and felt sick about putting our horses in those stalls- so we left after one night. There are too many other waterfalls, pretty trails, and places to ride to risk my horses in those awful accommodations.

Just back from 7 days @ Seven Springs Lodge. Group of 5 rigs with 10 riders. Great trails with a lot of rain first 2 days. Campground drains well and mud vanished quickly. Trails are awesome with lots of single horse trails and lots of rocks, drops and streams. Yea there are easy trails as well. If you like rim riding try trail #26 and the # 17. Don't like heights... don't use these 2 trails. Great waterfalls and good riding for all level of experience. We will return to this campground and trails. Happy Trails and remember...."ride em like you stole em"

The good, the bad, the ugly. The good: super fun trails, easy to read maps, LOTS of views with waterfalls, rocks and challenging trails. The Rattlesnake Saloon should not be missed; a most amazing place with great food, karoke and a band on Friday and Saturday evenings. Seven Springs also has a pool which was a blessing for us since the afternoons were very hot. Owner had someone out to fix our air conditioner withing an hour. Store was amazing with some nice unique gifts. The cabins we saw were adorable and they even converted a couple of silos into nice rooms you can rent. The bad: the campground had NO trees whatsoever. You are out in the open. NO picnic tables anywhere. Bring your own table. The ugly: The stalls for the horses were corral panels and many were badly damaged. Manure pile right next to stalls was never cleaned during our entire time there (a week). And had looked like it hadn't been cleaned for at least a week before we got there. Flies were terrible. They did have wooden stalls, but those were even more unsafe than the pipe panels. The bottom planks were at least a foot and a half off the ground. Great way for a horse to get stuck. I have really mixed feelings about this place. It has some fantastic points and then some really bad ones. Will have to think long and hard before deciding if I will be back. But the trails were amazing and LOVED trail #13!! Look for the nifty little signs along the way to put a smile on your face.

The trails are well marked and easy to navigate. We came across some really muddy areas and didn't find much water on the trail for our horses. We enjoyed the variety of trails and really appreciated being able to find camp just by following the white arrows. The Rattlesnake Saloon was lots of fun, the menu is somewhat limited but what I had was good and the prices are reasonable. Some of the stalls need a bit of repair. Overall this was a good place and we will return

Had another "wonderful" time at Seven Springs & Rattle Snake Saloon. Always a great place to go with super nice folks to boot. Just got home and can't wait to go again.

This was our first trip to Seven Springs and although the weather was unpleasant for the first two days the overall experience was very nice. The camp ground is laid out nice and for the most part no matter where you camp you are close to stalls. The sites are somewhat close together but since we were with a group of three other trailers it made it nice. The stalls we had were large enough to accommodate both our 15 hand mules with space to spare and were in very good shape. The bath house was very nice with four complete rooms with shower, toilet, & sink that were in the middle of the camp ground in a renovated grain bin. The trails were well marked with a map that was easy to follow for even the first time visitor. It would be difficult to get lost and for the most part all the trails were easily passable even after 2 days of rain. The challenging parts of the trails are well marked and can be avoided with an easier path and the ground was clay dirt with areas of rock but nice on our mule’s feet almost everywhere we rode. There are areas that can be steep but wide open so you have plenty of space and time to prepare or rest before and after the climb if needed. The real attraction to this campground is the rattlesnake saloon located at the bottom of a hill inside of a rock overhang right on the campground that can be reached either by foot or taxi shuttle provide by the camp. We took a lunch break one day and visited on Friday night for dinner and a band and both times were enjoyable. The food and drinks are reasonably priced so that you can enjoy this with your family. I would and most likely will return one day to this campground and found it worth the 5 hour trip.

This is a place we used to like to go to until the ride we took this time. We were treated very rudely by the man who runs the campgrounds. We have came on several occasions before and have never been told day riders had designated parker areas. Maybe if they told you or designated areas you would know. They don't mind to designate for the motorcycles. We parked as we always have and went for our ride. Ride was going pretty well until we ran into several drunks along the way. Some women so bold they were coming onto our husbands in front of us. Others just down right disgusting. Well, got through that then when we got back to load our horses our trucks and horse trailers had been drugged by a tractor across the road. We knew there had been a show because everyone was standing watching us waiting on a fight I'm sure. We are good people and not looking for trouble, just wanted a good place to ride. We confronted the man running the campground wanting to know why but he was drunk and very rude cursing us every breath. Finally, the lady who we actually paid to ride told us to come over and she said we shouldnt have parked where we did. We were never told we couldnt park anywhere. She stated she always tried to tell everyone, I'm sure covering her tail in front of him. But we were never told anything. After we seen have drunken and rude he was we just let it go and left. I'm sure all of the by standers were disappointed because there was no fight. We told them we would never be back and we won't.There were definitely better ways to have handled the situation rather than the way he did. We would have gladly parked where he told us if we had known. Where he drugg us to was right in front of his building blocking the road going to his trails. I'm sure if we had of parked there he would have definitely been mad and would have had every reason. We were just parking as we had always done before but because he decided he didn't want us there that day he made a scene I'm sure. He even came by a waved at us when we parked and were unloading the horses so, if he didn't want us there why didn't he tell us then rathering than dragging our trucks and making a scene. We have found a new place to ride that is wonderful at KC Ranch in Double Springs. Very nice people that run it. Will never go back to RattleSnake. We had plans of eating at the saloon that day but decided we were not giving him anymore money. As far as trails, it was beautiful. But not a good place to be due to all the drinking. The owner or whoever he was needs to learn how to treat people because this is a business. I will tell everyone I know of our experience there.

Wonderful place to go. Beautiful trails for any lever rider to enjoy. Marked pretty well. We will be back for sure.

This place was amazing. All in our group had a wonderful time. The trails were better than Eastfork since they re-routed so many of them. Lots of ups & downs and most all the riding was under the canopy of the forest. Camp ground doesn't have shade but we made our own. The Saloon is beautiful and provided a cool place to sit, eat and listen to music. The people are wonderfully friendly and helpful. We love to "trail ride" and they had plenty of trails like we like. Letters are the wide roads/trails and numbers are the one horse trails like we like. Beautiful rock formations, senic over looks and lots of creek crossings. Water was very low due to dry weather but still had plenty for the horses to drink. WE WILL BE GOING BACK. It is a three and a half hour drive for us but it was well worth it.

Just got back from my first trip to Seven Springs. We took a young horse to expose him to mountain type riding and we were not disappointed. We ride the smoky mountains and it is as close as you can get without being there. From hills, steep climbs, descents, rocks,wide roads to narrow knee knockers. They have it all. Absolutely loved the one of a kind Rattlesnake saloon. One great place to see and eat at!Didn't much care for the two rattlesnakes on the trail, one almost got one of our horses, but hey, it's rocky and wilderness, you got snakes. The scenery was amazing, especially the vew from mountain top. You can ride horses into Bee Hive,and Waterfall cave.The most amazing rock formation is Wave Rock. It looks just like the front of a huge ship with waves crashing on its bow. Someone had posted the stalls were dangersous and small. My quarter house is 16 hands and he laid down every night.There are no rocks in the stalls. Ocassionaly if you dig down far enough stones might come up but they are not lined with gravel. There are 6 barns of covered stalls, over 70 campsites. The only downfall was there are only 12-14 full hook up sites and no designated dump station, you have to use an empty full hook up to dump out. So, you don't have shade trees, you trade it for some amazing trails. Everyone was very kind. Both of my horses threw shoes and she had a farrier there in less than 2 hrs. I absolutely plan on going back!

This is a great place to ride. Beautiful scenery. Trails are so much fun! There are trails fit for beginners all the way to expert riders. After a long day of riding, you can ride your horse down to the saloon, take a break and grab a bite to eat then head back to the trails. I read reviews that said the stalls weren't safe but we have been going there for years and never had any problems or seen any problems for that matter. There is not a whole lot of shade on the campground, but this would be the only downer to this place. Restrooms/Showers are nice and clean. I highly recommend Seven Springs to all riders.

The campground has very little shade and the stalls can be very dangerous to your horses if they kick, most are corral panels put together. The trails can be a little confusing they are marked with plain markings could be made much better by adding numbers or letters to the markers, there had been quite a bit of rain prior to our ride and several areas were muddy but not to the point of being impassable. There are plenty of trails to ride for any level of skill, lots of water on the trails. The noise from the saloon can be heard in parts of the campground but by 11:30 - 11:45 at night all is quite. Rates are reasonable.

We called this place last Fall - we live in central KY and the drive would be long, so needed some info...very nice fellow on the phone! Their Web Page...Looks like a great place to visit. Seven Springs is a great place to ride! with all the trails looping back to the main pipeline that leads straight back to camp. You cannot get lost. ROCKY.. I had front shoes on both of my horses, and they were fine. Views are AMAZING... The GPS will take you an aweful route by the chevron station and the hill that you have to go up is AWEFUL, and not fun loaded with 6 horses... there is another way on down 72 hwy that isnt as bad. The Campground doesnt have many shade trees, and is mostly open. A Quick Shade from walmart helped us tremendously and we camped in tents and was fine. Stalls are not the best. If you have a kicker they may wind up with back legs hung up in panels. if you plan to picket bring your own supplies because there are no poles to picket to. The campground is the down fall of this place, but the riding is GREAT AWESOME FUN! hills, creeks, etc.!!LOVE THE SALOON! YOU CAN RIDE HORSES TOO

my sister and i went to seven springs for the first time at new years this year. it was our first trailride just me and her and no other family or anything. we went up there knowing one person and left knowing everyone in camp. the people were all amazing. the riding was beautiful. it definately kept our horses and us paying attention.the views were awesome. when we left that ride we were already planning for the ride in march. we will go back here time and time again.

Trails very well marked. Challenging and tame trails both. Fabulous saloon. Very clean facility. However, there could be more ventilation in the bath houses and a leash law enforced. Hence the four stars.
