The trails were really nice, some were hilly, but nicely shaded and relatively well marked. The campground sites were nice, no fires in summer, and no drinking water. There is water for horses, but depending on where you are it could be quit a walk with a bucket. There in no RV hookup if you have one either. There is one 16x16 corral and one tether with two loops for tying per site.

There are miles and miles of trails. With everything from short easy loops to long hard (rocky & elev change) trails. The campgrounds could not be better. Clean and designed specifically for horse camping.

This time of year the campground just opened and the spruce trail hadn't been cleared of downed timber yet.. Made the trail more challenging. The trail down to wolf creek falls has been marked better and fairly easy. The weather was great blanketed the horses at night.

I really enjoyed this. One pen per camp site and is good for 1 or 2 horses (if the get along). Running water throughout area, bring your own hose if you want to hose off your horse. Mountain trails can be difficult in areas, rocky and steep, not for spooky horses as trail is narrow in some spots and drops down depending on what trail you ride. My paint loved the adventure and slept well under the stars at night! Will definitely go back!

Nice campground with wonderful hosts - very accommodating. Trails were in poor shape initially, but on a return trip one month later, the trails had been cleaned up substantially. Limited trails for stays longer than a few days.
