Love this place! Kayla and Farley are great and made our stay awesome, some of the Park trails were closed due to high water but thanks to them we had some really great rides. We enjoyed them so much we stopped on our way back home. Thanks

nice small campground with water and electric hookups. Steve and Sue are very friendly, ferrier on site. Open pens for your horses. Trails are nice, but can be muddy in rainy season. We try to go as often as possible, overnight and day riding.

We had a great stay overnight at S&S Stables. They were friendly, the camp had everything we needed (except ice) and the trails were well marked and only a few boggy spots. Great time, look forward to returning soon.

Arrived in morning to ride with friends who had spent night. Male owner seemed confused, not able to tell me where friends camped. Finally pointed way. I parked by them, unloaded. Got ready to saddle. This man began to yell and hollar at me, sarcastically and condescendingly ordered me to load back up and get down to the "day-rider" parking. EXTREMELY RUDE! I did not know where day parking was, no signage, my friends asked around and directed me to proper area. This man's wife came over and made excuses for his behavior (poor dear). If not for the long drive and my dear friends being there waiting to ride I would have departed post haste!! But not to fret, as I will NEVER grace S&S stables again! This was handled VERY inappropriatly. Campers/riders beware.....

Bathroom dirty, and person running campgrounds smelled like they had been drinking and were loud spoken.

Had a group ride for the weekend. Tha staff bent over backwards to accomodate and were very curteous and friendly. Nice shady campsites, clean and well maintained. Horse pens clean. Coming back next year. Stables right next to Hillsdale lake which has wonderful trails. I especially love the hills, trees and lake on the north east side. I have ridden here for 25 years and it's one of my favorites.

Nice campground with corals in the shade next to your site.No water or elect. hookup but you can run generator. No curfew. Trails are great..if you take trail around the dam you will not find water for your horses. It is very easy trail mostly in the open so put on some sunscreen. Trails in the woods are nice and challenging with plenty of water crossings.

This is place is not part of the Corps of Engineers campground - Hillsdale Lake - Saddle Ridge. It is a sales/boarding facility for horses. Not a bad place, just feel that the owners should have some responsibilty in maintaining the trails instead of skirting the county and Corps of Engineers on fees and regulations. They claim to buy a bag of manure for a ride.
