Big Sandy TH is 50 miles from Farson, WY - first 40 miles is smooth sand road, last 10 miles are rough, slow road. Horse camp is separate from main camping area and is very nice. We had it all to ourselves. Elevation is 9100+ feet. 5 good pipe corral pens, no water but stream and ponds are close, and a sparkling clean restroom. Many trails. The lower trails were well maintained but the upper trails to the lakes were clogged with impassable dead-falls. We left after 1 day and went to Scab Creek. |
