I love the Trailhead Ranch across from Goethe State Park. The Ranch has over 70 quiet, beautiful campsites. Its clean, pristine, and everything a campground SHOULD be, but seldom is. The people here have become my family. The trails are right across the road, and are exceptional. There are 120 miles of trails, all beautifully maintained. They are the best trails that I have found for horseback riding, AND for hiking. There is a constant cool breeze that blows across the hill where I am located. I have full hookups, and a large rig. Each of the campsites are large, and there is a feeling of spaciousness. Nothing is crowded. There is a terrific convenience/tack store, and lots of stables. There are lots of activities in the surrounding area - rivers and lakes, quaint towns, and really nice and friendly people. Its a great resort for horse people, and for anyone who likes the country.

Great place for a beginner to learn, even better if you're an experienced rider.

This place was awesome. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. We highly recommend this to anyone. It is the best place we have ever stayed and the best trails. More people need to find out and come here! The staff was outstanding and we enjoyed our ride with Loral and Deb.

WOW! What a pleasant stay we had!!! This was the first time we camped and rode the trails in this area and we were pleasently surprised. Direct acces to Apex Trail was perfect. Great campground facility. Beautiful feed/tack store and bath house facilities. We were happy that the convienence store had the groceries we Forgot! Staff was very helpful. The Ranch was holding an Extreme Cowboy competition and we were able to enjoy the show. The stalls available were spacious and there were turn out paddocks for our use. Definately returning again for another weekend of fun.

Great place with more trails than you can ride in a week. Located in the Goethe State Forest in West Central Florida. Many equestrian events. There is also great fishing and hunting there.
