Great day ride location. Excellent trailer parking with plenty of room to turn around and park a big gooseneck trailer. Mo Conservation has done a great job with the trails. Highly recomend your horse be shod all 4. Very rocky in places. Plenty of water along trails. Creek at parking lot is a great place to relax before or after your ride! Two loops, one about 4.5 miles and the other about 6-7. Can combine or ride one side. North trail goes by an old cemetary at about the 4-5 mile mark. Has hitching rail. Good place to stop for lunch. St. Clair Saddle Club and Back Country Horseman have really done a great job at the cemetary. Plans for a couple of picnic tables I hear.

Our experience at Brushy Creek was second to none. Tim,Amy and Bob were very helpful and made our visit enjoyable. The obstacle course was a hoot! Food great! The campsite was awsome! We even spent one day in camp just kicking back as the campsites were so relaxing. The barn/stalls were second to none. We hope to return to the area and bring friends. We had a great time. It is a rocky area and definitely need shoes.

Trails are well marked. Sometimes wide enough for 2 horses to ride abreast. Some fairly steep hills with not too rocky surfaces. Nice tree cover. Multi-use for horses & bikes. Several creek crossings, majority were dry in early July. Great pull through parking area. Creek located near parking to water your horses. Primitive restrooms located adjacent to upper parking area (not walking distance), but also has pull through drive for trailers.
