I have been to this campground many times and always had a wonderful time. This year was different. All the great trails were closed off so you had to double back on the same trails. SHAME ON MICHIGAN!! We were the only campers as everyone else must have experienced how AWFUL it is.

We use the group camp every October for the past 5-6 years. Love it and always have a riot! A little apprehensive this year; not sure what to expect for trails as we heard many have been closed. See many elk every year. Trails are great, especially through the oak groves. Cell phones don't work well there, which is a plus for our group.

The trails are WONDERFUL!! You can pick easy or difficult trails. Nice footing, mostly nice sand. Lots of beautiful scenery and rivers to either water your horses or walk thru. Campground is rustic but nice and clean with lots of trees for shade.

We stayed 10/2-5/03. It was cold and rainy but we still had a great time. We saw a bull, cow and a calf. There are tons of trails that are not difficult at all. The campground was well maintained although we stayed in the group camp. Regual camping looked great too though!!
