This park was very fun, The trails are beautiful, and they never get boring, lots of variety. The campsite has many highlines to tie your horses, Yes very nice stars at night, and lots of coyotes howling, but we didn't see any. there is a part along the Yellow Medicine river with high vertical drop off, almost could use guard rails but that would take away the beauty, so have a trust worthy horse, their really was no water crossing but you can get right in both the Yellow Medicine and MN river, A very Nice place, we will be going back, I also spotted a large brown snake, just took me by surprise cause in MN I have only seen little garter snakes. Weekends are also very busy. a few steeper hills. |
