Friends and I ride here often as it is fairly close to home and it is a nice work out on the south trails, north trails not difficult. Gets HOT in summer and can be slick after rain. Not many rocks, we ride barefoot horses, but there are a couple of places with some. Trails are wide and mostly well maintained, especially right before holidays thru the year. You can ride here even if it's windy since there are lots of trees. Pretty lake overviews and wild life (deer, birds, rabbits, ect.) There are signs posted to watch out for poisonous snakes in some of the lower areas (you cross on raised earth bridges) that are swampy but we've never seen one, yet. There are services but on a limited basis and first come first serve mostly. 14 day limit on stays, no problem for riders. Fishing available too.
