Horse camping Heaven! We had the best time from the time we checked in and had all the help we needed to park our rig and stall our horses. Jack & Mitza are horse people who designed a horse camp for horse lovers. Trails right out of camp to access the Forche Mountain Trails (Formerly Mill Creek Equestrian Trails). There are mountain views, abandoned silver mines, beautiful rock formations, plenty of creek crossings and miles and miles of endless riding. Jack is great host and trail guide. The camp offers a peaceful setting at the base of Buck Knob Mountain. There 23 water and 30 amp electric hookups with stalls, (50 amp service on 2 of those sites), 2 shower houses a bunkhouse and a pavilion building with full kitchen for campers use. Definitely one of our new favorite camps.

Hi Mitzie, I love your place ;) It is an hour travel time. We had a wonderful time. Easy to find, easy access. We met some nice people camping there. I love the quiet, clean, amenities, trails, and ability to ride 4 plus hours without back tracking. My Appaloosas did great. We rode the upper pink and orange trail. We got back 3:30pm. The weather was nice. Overcast, breeze, some sun, and just right. The trails are a good work out and I'm glad I conditioned my horses for several months at home. We are coming back! I'll call you for reservations about renting a cabin for a weekend. :) Thank you for your great work at sweet Idle Nook Horse Camp.

What an awesome weekend! Camp is very nice, stalls were excellent and spotless, trails were well-marked and easy to follow. Maps were very accurate. Really enjoyed the peacefulness! Will definitely be making a trip back in the Fall or Spring.
