I have nothing good to say about this place, nor will I ever go there again. Owners are not friendly. Dance hall is so so, food not good. Trails are poor, been on better ones. Campsite has no shade. The whole atmosphere was poor and a waste of my time and money! Think twice before you plan to visit! Like one said, be careful of the owners!

I want to comment Jerry and Sherry, I have not rode at Longhorn yet but look forward to it before the year ends. I went to Ozark Homestead 8 times this summer by myself and with various family members and was always treated great and had a great time on the ride.Horses were good and the wranlgers, Ryan, Sam, Kathy and Stephanie could not have been nicer. My sister and I would ride for 2 hours each time we went and once got to take the 2.5 hour trail which at the time was not open but Jerry told us we could. I look forward to going to Longhorn to ride.

Unable to access any camping site as there were round bales everywhere. Not sure what's going on but didn't stay here.

There is no shade at all to camp under. The place is unorganized, and the cook only stays in cook shack long enough to feed the first few people thru the door, plus food is only so so! Stalls are small and the river is far away and hard to get to! Did not enjoy my stay there. The owners are pushy and loud mouthed. Not pleasant

I have to agree with all the above...(except the first one..and I believe that came from someone that used to work there i bet they feel differently now)I've been there once..and that was too many.... I will never go here with these owners..and it just isn't a really good place to ride...They also run Ozark Homestead...I hear of things there too. I think I will just stick with the good places to ride with good people.

After riding here for a season my review has changed. The cheeseburgers are delicious but do not tell the cook if they are not fully cooked. She gets offended. The beef jerky is great. The campground needs improvements but the water pressure is good. The dance on week-ends is definitely a bar scene, not a good place for youngsters. The river is hard to find and not close to the campground. Trails are fair but not too many of them. They make poor preparations for activities they have. Be careful of the owners.

It was like being in someones back yard...people that own the place are not that friendly..maybe at first, but just not very nice. Could be better with shaded spots and more gravel so you don't get your rig stuck if it sprinkles a bit..stalls not good..small and boards spaced too far apart. too many good places to ride and camp. won't be back.

There are clean and easy trails for the gaited people and rougher challenging trails for the quarter horse people. There are also trails for team and wagon if you like. There are small creeks and Gasonade river is app. 2 miles away. Your camphosts Jerry and Sherry are down home type people. They let you know they appreciate your business and will try to please if possible. Nice stalls and good water pressure at the campsites. Sherry's cheesburgers are hard to beat and the beef jerky and sausage sticks that they make are the best I have had. Something for everyone, including dance lessons on selected week-ends.
