The location of this entry is incorrect. It is in Greenback, not Lenoir City. Easy parking at the boat ramp. Nice variety on trails. Easy trails. No camping. I would add more info to this listing, but you can't edit someone else's entry.

Bakers Creek is a nice series of trails, where you can ride all day and see different scenery -- acres of pastureland, wheat fields, corn fields, foundations of old homesteads, fence remnants of old cattle fields, quiet, shady woods and a little spring, a ride up the ridge to the cell phone tower (more advanced), views of Lake Tellico and mountains, and a sandy beach to swim! To find the sandy beach, go to the main trail head next to where the gas pipeline and fence is (before you get to the graveyard). Go up and down some hills, and then the trail narrows a bit -- keep going til it ends. Then turn right towards the lake (that overlooks where Rarity Bay and Mastercraft is). You will ride down through some large fields to the lake (you can see the lake here). Veer to your right a little, and you will find the perfect sandy beach to ride the horses in! :) You can't get lost on these trails, because the whole web of trails all end up back at the graveyard and boat ramp.

I have been to bakers creek I doubt there are thousands of acres and the last time i went we tried to get into the lake with our horses but there wasn't anywhere that had easy access for a horse to safely go down into the lake and get back out. I live in Lenoir City and of the 2 times I have ridden there, it was a short ride, kind of like a bigginers trail to get your horses prepared for the real thing. THere were some wide areas where 2 or 3 horses could ride side by side, but there were some narrow trails and lots of trees down I rode there 6/12/2010 with a friend. It is a fun ride but there are not THOUSANDS of acres and there is no where (that I have seen) that you can safely get your horse in the water. There is not really anywhere for you to get in the water but at the loading ramp and even that thing is slippery. Maybe I am wrong but if I am I wish I could find other riders who know that place better and can show me the other "sandy area's to get in the water" most of it is hard packed red clay

Baker's Creek has lots of wide gravel/dirt roads, open pastures, and some wooded trails. It's great riding along the lake, and there are several places to swim with your horse.
