What an awesome place! Just the horse retreat my husband and I were searching for. We will be back next year. There is a single well now so water must still be hauled, but not very far. He is a beginner, new to horses, and all the trails are well marked, easy to follow and cover a variety of terrain from grasslands, sloping hills, tall hills, pine forests, hardwood forests, softwood/maple forests and utilizes both narrow and wider paths. Trail maps provided offer a good overview of the trails, but I do recommend a compass in case you wander onto another trail system as we did. Wonderful Large sites to accomodate large, pull through rigs, or smaller bumper rigs like ours as we tented it. Some sites offer picket poles, while others require the use of trees, each with campfire ring, picnic tables, and trees. |
