The forestry does an excellent job of maintaining the trails. Trails are beautifully bush hogged. Permanent trail markers in place. Nice picnic tables with hitching posts and mounting blocks on each trail.

Nice Campground, fairly level and open area for parking. No Water at campground, found some at Airey Lake campground north of Bigfoot(bring a long hose). It is said you could get water at the Ranger station which is also north of Bigfoot, I went on a Saturday and no one was there and it was all locked up, so not sure you can get any there. There were some water crossing on the red trail and yellow trail not much good water for horses though. Plan on bringing your own pens trees are far apart for high line. The trails are fairly well marked and well cared for. You can obtain a map from the Ranger office. I had Emailed them for information and they sent a PDF file of a trail map. Even though the campground is listed as primitive I only gave it a 4 because of no water.

What a great experience! Good trainers who were nice amd friendly. I would suggest this experience to any able bodied person to do! I was paired with a great horse! Definitely going back!

Primitive camping, we bring our own water for us and our horses, but I love the trails and they have rest areas on most of the trails...lovely place to ride! The camp ground does have toilets, just no running water, they do have fire rings and tables, also hitching post
