We rode in Vasquez Rocks Park & had a great time. The trails are awesome. We had a such a great time two days ago that we brought out friends with us this time. They truly enjoyed themselves. In fact we used our pictures that we took for my husbands retirement photos. Great place to ride. We haven't been back since because my husband's horse has been lame, problem should be fixed & we should be out there in the fall. Too DANG HOT in the summer!!!!

I live out in Agua Dulce, we lost some of the landscape due to the wild fires in 2007-so it really depends on where you are going for trail riding as to how green it is. I would avoid coming here in the July-August months-it's just too damn hot! During mid summer it can be 100 by 9 AM and you and your horse will fry! Best time to ride in Fall-Winter (without Santa Anna Winds)-and the spring. Spring it the best with all the desert wildflowers in full bloom! The trails are real wide and well kept! No camping but you can ride on the trails as long as you want. There are tons of trails out here and those of us who live here ENOURAGE PEOPLE TO COME RIDE THERE HORSES! If you go into Vasquez Rocks Park to ride-use cuation on the slick rocks-your horse may slip and fall. Steel shoes are a real hazard on these slick rocks. There are lots of trails and toliets with park benchs here at "The Rocks". Devils Punch Bowl is also a nice place to ride with lots of parking for your rigs and horses. Both of these places are free of charge. There are tons of trails and only two that come to mind. The only thing to be mindful of out here is rattle snakes (which are native all over the southwest). In the spring time they come out and usually stay out till janaury. They are not a real problem but if you are not used to them you should just keep this in mind. Don't just go romping through tall grass without looking where your horse is going and stepping! I have seen them out on the trails but just give them space and they are not a problem. These are super trails to ride and there are lots of them

I live out in Acton and am connected to some awesome trail riding. I am so spoiled to not have asphalt and sidewalks to deal with. Come join some local yocals on some fun rides!!
