We love the trails and the river, very shady, cool and clean, the camp sites are also shaded and very clean. We have been twice in the last month and still have not rode all of the trails. This is a laid back envioronment with easy riding but also a test for the horses due to the tents and the river. We have enjoyed it so much and it is not that far from home that we are already planning our next visit.

Trail are not that rigorous. I would consider them moderate but not easy. I like McIntosh but on the weekends there are a lot of people there and they want to pet the horses and that can get irritating. Its big enough that you can get away from the humans. Its very shady and cool.

This is not a rigorous trail! It is pretty easy but has a few small challenges here and there (small water crossings, a couple hills etc). Certainly suitable for beginners. It has a nice camping area near the river which is nice. And they pretty much let you do whatever you want with your horses overnight i.e. corral, high-line or whatever. We went on a Friday evening and they had firewood all cut up and for free on a first come first serve basis. Camping sites are that way too, and camping is primitive. It is certainly a park worth visitig at least once, but you might like going again.
