Came here for a day ride to check out the place. Pulled up to the entrance and had to pay $3.00 per horse. I told the lady I had never been there before and she didn't seemed concerned. She gave me my change and said "Here's your parking pass" Then she looked away to her computer. I then asked her if she had a map and where I needed to go.
Finally got basic info to proceed. The Day area has 4 parking spots in the middle of the camping area. They have a restroom near buy and one set of high lines and place for your manure.
I didn't camp but would never do so. Camp sites are small and crammed in with regular campers. There were no high lines at the campsites that I saw.
Trails were very nice though I could see how they could get very muddy. It was dry and meandered through the woods and then along the lake. Had a nice beach stop for the horses to play. Near the end the trail just seemed to stop. No directions, just dumped you into what looks like a construction work zone with 30 or so pieces of construction equipment. Finally found our way to the overgrown trail to be dumped out on the other side of the park into the campsites. Kids and dogs running everywhere. Finally had to walk through the entire campground to get back to our trailer. Lets say not fun.
This place has a lot of potential but obviously doesn't put a lot of effort for the horse riders. I wont be back.
