Enjoy my visit every time I come here. Ricky and Laura are the best hosts any camp could possibly have! They make you feel like family.

If you are looking for a small, out of the way place to enjoy your camping and riding experience, this is certainly a place to consider! Not fancy by any means but that wasn't what we were looking for. Sadly we only had 2 days to ride since we left a day early because of serious weather approaching. There were hi-lines already set up or we could have put our mules in stalls in the very nice chicken barn. In the barn it was clean and nice and cool but the mules prefer being in their electric pen where they can graze and roll. I think there is only 5 or 6 sites with water/electric but plenty space for lots more trailers to camp primitive. There is 2 bathrooms, neither marked by gender. One has a tub/shower combo the other is a shower. Lots of elbow room. The scenery is the typical gorgeous Arkansas scenery! Some of the trailheads/intersections were marked by a cowboy boot hanging in a tree. Enjoyed that and think it was a fun and wonderful idea. Rick & Lora work full time and as most people will realize, they don't have the time to have every trail completely cleaned up and remarked after every winter or spring storm. We still enjoyed the trails we rode. Rick & Lora are excellent hosts and will come by to check on you when they get home. Lora even gave us a dozen fresh eggs! When we were there, there was one "permanent" horse trailer in the campground and the man that owns it came and stayed one night while we were there. The next morning he left the heater on in one of the bathrooms for us. Thanks Ron! Again, if you are looking for down home nice people and an uncrowded campground and the trails not torn up from over use, go check out Posey Hollow! We plan on going back when the leaves turn, hoping to see some pretty fall colors.
