Have ridden all over there is no doubt that the section of the Sheltowee Trail accessible from Stampede Run is the most beautiful trail you will ever ride, bar none. Compared to others the camp could be considered small. . .but who really cares. Because it is small you get to know every other rider/camper. The stalls and facilities are great. Darlene is a hoot. Rick will do just about anything for ya'. The bonus is that the Forest Service has done an amazing job with the trails, especially out of camp. New bridges over the creeks, leveling out the rough spots. . .they've done a great job. Considering everything, this is the best horsecamp and best trail riding in Kentucky.

Love! Love! Love! This camp is very accommadating, lots of sites, electric and water hookups, an awesome shower house and pavillion. I rode on Labor Day weekend and the owners were nothing like the previous comment! They are super nice and very business minded and courteous. The owners would never do anything that would harm a child, and are very respectable. This camp is perfect for a family getaway with or without children. The campground is very clean and the trails are absolutely beautiful! Would recommend Stampede Run Horsecamp to anyone!

This was our first time at the camp and will probably be our last. The trails were great, the facilities were nice, a little cramped, but for the most part, nice and clean. Now for the bad. There were a few kids with their parents camping and the owner showed up totally drunk trying to talk to the kids. I felt so bad for those poor kids. This is not a place to bring your kids, at least not as long as the owner is going to come around drunk. From what I got she does this often too.

Just got back from a 3 day ride and man-cook, had a blast. Food was excellent, owners ended up making it a customer appreciation weekend with reduced rates to all. Trails are not as bad as reported. You just need to ask the owners the easiest way in and out of camp. One trail is a little steeper than the other into camp. Their was a young girl on her 1st trail ride and she did great. This is a great mid sized camp, if you haven't been there you really need to check it out.

Facilities are excellent. A great place to camp. Depending on what type of trails you like, you'll either love 'em or hate 'em. Some are rocky and steep, many have trees or logs across them while others are relatively flat and clear. As a note for those coming down I-75 North, it's best to get off at Mt. Vernon/Renfro Valley exit, go to Somerset and travel 27 South. It's faster and easier then going to Corbin and taking 25W. Lots of curves and uphill/downhill taking that route.
