Kitty and her husband are trying hard to make this place a fun, relaxing campground. It is quiet and peaceful, right off 231 out of Cottondale, FL. Easy to park big rigs with water and electric hook-ups in camp. The campsites are shady, but not marked out. You just kinda park near the electric and water hook-ups. The stalls in the barn are nice, clean and safe. I like that they are airy and the horses can see out. The trails all loop around the main farm. I gave the trails 2 stars because I really like to go for several miles out away from camp....like at least 10 miles out. For a family adventure, especially with kids that get tired easily, this is great. You can be back in camp within 1/2 hour from any trail you are on. There is also a 1/4 mile track to do some serious trotting/cantering and an obstacle course to play on. Just 2 miles away is Champ's, a down-home sole-owner cafe. Great popcorn shrimp! All-in-all, I would bring the kids here to ride, but for a serious trail rider that wants to go distances, not so much. |
