The trails have recently been widened which makes for a very pleasant ride. Last year the trails were very narrow and it was mostly follow-the-leader. Now the trails have better footing and you can often ride 2 side by side. Some areas are still single file. There are a combination of grass trails and dirt trails through the woods with some minor hills. There is a small creek crossing which can get muddy during the rainy season. Its only 6-8 feet wide during dry weather, so pretty simple. The facilities are nice and well kept up. Very nice day ride.

Nice trails.Easy to find your way through the trails. Well kept campground with many well pumps for watering horses.Lots of parking. A wonderful place to go for a day ride, but not enough trails to camp for the weekend.

Morrison/Rockwood is a great park for the beginner/intermediate rider. The trails are nice and varied and pretty well-marked. There are 1 or 2 stream crossings, but nothing too scary. Rolling wide paths through woods, around corn fields are nice, and not too steep or rocky, but some hills. Campgrounds are open, surrounded by woods, so shade in am or pm depending on which side you camp. Hitch posts, no pens. Nice weekends can be busy. Some of the horsecamp "regulars" spread out and can be a bit noisy/party at night, but overall, a very nice experience for a relaxing ride. Primitive campsites only in the horsecamp. Newer outhouses and water spigots available. Nice shower houses in the regular campground area on the other side of the park (must drive there). Would recommend.
