I agree the trails are not as well maintained as they were in the past. However, we have "burnt out" many of our trail mowing volunteers because of all the mowing that is needed to keep this place going. If anyone wants to help please email me at jkduke@airmail.net. We need volunteers Spring 2009 for mowing. We mowed 9-6-2008 so the trails should be good until Spring 2009.

I have been coming to these trails since it's opening. It is sad to see how they have gone down. It is not as nice as it was a couple of years back. They are still ok trails just not as kept as it was before.

Shoes not required for the trail; however, the parking lot is rocky. There is a lot of sun for the first 20-30 minutes. Be sure and get a trail map at the check-in station. This is a good day ride.

My goodness sakes I can't wait to tell my equestrian buddies about this endurance rider haven. What a find.... the parking lot facilities are beyond belief. The trails really give the horse and rider a workout with the linear straight aways puncuated by twists and turns. Any horse trainer would be pea green with envy! I live by Lake Lavon but will gladly drive the distance for such a splendid riding area!
