The trails are pretty challenging, but worth the effort. Charlie and Barbara are fun people and rode with us daily, with Charlie as trail guide. They will make you feel right at home at their barn, and having a laundry room was a big plus. You do have to trailer to the trail heads, which is the only negative. The weather on the trails was great, not too hot for July.

The Fires Creek area is a beautiful place to ride. Lots of mountain streams, and in the late fall and winter, there's great views also. Of course, with mountain streams comes moutains, so your horse better be in great condition. A word to the wise, this place is not for timid riders or out of shape horses. Charlis and Barb are great folks. The only downside is you have to trailer to the trail heads but it's the only place I know of in the area where you can get hook-ups. The campsites at Fires Creek (Bristol) and Standing Indian are both primitive.
