We tried EVS for the first time over the Labor Day Weekend. The trails were some of the best I've ridden in WI. They were hilly with a combination of wooded and open terrain. Once you get use to the color and number coded trail markers the trails are very easy to navigate. We rode most of the available trails over the three days we camped. Only problem was one water crossing was impassible due to deep mud. There are some rocks but not enough to force the need for shoes. I would have rated the campground higher but I felt the paddocks we rented needed a little attention. Some of the electric fencing needed to be replaced and a few "T" posts were uncapped. We plan to camp there again in the near future.

We decided to camp at Endless after hearing lots of good things about it from fellow horse people. We were not disappointed. The camping was basic, the horse paddocks were nice and large and the bathroom/shower was clean. The trails were wet, but they had 6" of rain two days prior. Yes, their trails are sometimes challenging, but that's how the terrain is in that part of the state. We had no problems, but our horses are "in shape" and sure-footed. The maps and trail markers are some of the best we've seen, not to mention all of the trails pretty much circle you back. We are definitely going back.

I wish I would have found this review before I rode. We had lots of rain, and yes, common sense should have told me not to go. I called the day before we came to ask how muddy the trails were and how slippery. I have never been here before and didn't know if the trails were grassy or dirt. I have rode on several rides where the grassy trails are great after a rain. I was told that people weren't "saying" that they were slippery. But, the people who run the place know their trails and terrain and had to have known that the trails were indeed VERY slippery and boggy. I felt like we were in quicksand many, many times. If you don't want to get sucked down into the mud your only other option was to ride with the thorny stickers on your face, arms and legs. If you don't like mud slides, avoid the area for several days after rain. I haven't seen anything here on this, but, the trails and the map are horrible to follow correctly. We got lost several times and the map helped us not at all. All you ever saw on the posts out there were numbers, where as the map showed numbers and letters. Believe me, there were no letters on any of the posts out there. This made our ride frustrating, not fun. It would be very helpful to have some sign posts through out saying "this way back to stables". Such a simple thing to help out. This trail should be avoided for those who are just starting out.

We loved the farm and trail so much, we moved our horses to the stable. We come up every weekend and camp. So we might be a little biased. But I will try to give a fair review. Trails: They are indeed challenging especially depending on the recent rain fall. There is no way out of the valley that does not include a climb. That said, the owner does a great job of laying down padding on the trails and trying to keep the footing as safe as possible. During the dry, hot, summer days the trails are hilly but a breezy to traverse. Gets a little more 'fun' after a week of rain. Camping: Several camp sites next to the barn have electric. There are 'rough' sites all around and several large remote sites (for big groups). That said, this is not camping at a state park. This is camping in a field possibly next to another trailer. The owners do a good job of trying to keep people from being right on top of each other. There are two bathrooms in the main barn, and one with a shower. There is a new building going up that will have more stalls, a General Store, and another bathroom/shower. The best way to describe the place is this. If camping in your (200+ acre) back yard with your friends and riding out on rough trails for day’s appeals to you, then you will love this place.

Most parts of this trail are VERY difficult. There are large washouts, tons of rocks, gulleys and deep sucking bogs. The entire trail is VERY hilly. My fit endurance horse ended up with a tendon strain, I think due to some of the very steep hills that go on forever. Only to be fair though, there "was" a tornado and torrential rain a few weeks before I was there. Perhaps the footing is not always this poor? I did an endurance race on this trail and the endurance riders were saying it's probably the hardest trail in our region. Definitely NOT for beginners. The camping was at Endless Valley Stable and the driveway getting in was terrible. Extremely long, narrow, winding, and with a huge hill. If you met another rig coming or going I have no idea what you'd do. There's a big cliff on one side of you. The entire experience just isn't one I'd like to repeat.

We camped and rode their trails after a very wet August. Trails were good, some trail markings could be ungraded. Some hills were steep, but not dangerous. Generally a very nice place to ride. Camping area could get messy during wet times and needs electric hookups to make it better. Very nice indoor facilities and great pasture areas to rent. It is a place that I will try to visit twice a year. There are about 30 miles of trails which can be covered easily in two days. The indoor facilities are very nice if you want to rent stalls or board your horse. If the campsites were upgraded it would be one of the nicest facilities that I have seen.

The campground is just the area around the barn and paddocks. If you want electric, you have to be close to the barn. There is a nice bathroom in barn, although it could use a good scrubbing. The barn also has a wash stall for horses (cleaner than bathroom;-)! The trails are beautiful, and the main reason to go back. Very hard on horses in hot weather, as there are alot of up and downs. We went in June, and it was beautiful- 75-85 degrees. We went again in October, and it was oppressive- 95+ degrees!!! The horses went out in the morning, and then did NOT want to go out for a late afternoon ride!!! Much better riding in cooler temps, as the hills are hard if your horses are not used to them. All in all, I would go back, just not if the weather is going to be over 90 degrees. The electric hookup can't handle an air conditioner.

Most of the this trail system is grassy hills, but we found a few very chanllaging trails in this system. We Transversed up rocky hills and slid down muddy hills, jumped downed trees, wash outs & gullies. I would not take children, inexperienced riders or horses on the chanllanging portion of the trail system.

Have been here many times. Great trails, pretty area of the state.Very nice people. They have two rentals that are really nice. Camping sites are out in the open. Trees are planted but have years to grow into shade trees!
