The trails at Elk Rock are VERY user friendly for the young or novice rider, The trails are flat enough for an older horse to get around on as well. Elk Rock is family friendly as well, quite atmosphere. NOTE: Stay on marked trails If you get caught its $116.00 Fine. \

very nice park. The campsites were re-done last year. excellent for beginners and children. has a nice playground area and a new horse arena.the park is looking into putting in a permanent trail course hopefully sometime this year. they have many more improvements that the friends group is working on always looking for comments or suggestion.

Actually, Elk Rock is closer to Knoxville - only about 3 miles. The campground is very nice and the trails are great. A lot of riding in the woods. There are three trails, one about 2 miles, and two longer ones which are around 7 miles I think. Total trails there are 13. We love to go there and it's a great place to meet people.
