Just wondering if this place still exists? I haven't been able to find anything about it. It's really close to where I live and every other place is over an hour away. If anyone knows please post a response! Thanks!

I believe this place went private due to sorry ass people who come and camp and ride without paying.

Great place for a weekend trip. Shoes are needed on horses. Has nice stalls for rent too. Access to water and electricity if needed but space is limited. Nice river ride.

Paul Austin is a wonderful host. Number of camp sites limited. Has a variety of trails, i.e. woods, logging paths, ATV trails. Some pretty scenes, except where they are clear cutting the forest. Lots of hills, creeks and rivers of varying depths and difficulty. Extremely rocky, both native and man-made. Some places were swampy and wet. Guided riding is a must, can get into trouble or lost easily. No trails are marked. Sounds like more accommodations are coming.

Austinville is really looking good. It has changed so much since the last time I rode there and Paul Austin has even more plans for accomodations and facilities in the near future. And there are so many fun trails...I will definitely go back soon.
