We just got home from our trip to BSF we stayed in the Van Bert Cabin. Very dissapointing. It was not worth the high price we paid. It rained and the stalls got flooded, the hot tub only had one jet that worked. Will not be going back to that place!

This was our 2nd trip to Wilderness, We stayed at the Magnolia, nice cabin, the downstairs bed was a rock and no one could sleep in it, sofa was better. The spa worked sometimes and the faucet at the washrack did not work. Kind of disapointed in the upkeep, cabin just down the road had a bunch of 4 wheelers and even tho signs are posted they were going down the road. Anyway the trails are great...........

We stayed at the Van Bert with stables and had a wonderful time! The cabin was great and host Rae was wonderful. We are planning another trip at Wilderness Resorts.

Cabin was first rate. Private 8 stall barn with plenty of room in each stall. Actually put two of our party's horses in one stall and they were comfortable. Plenty of shavings for bedding. The cabin had a hot tub and was spotless, the manager Rae was super friendly and accomodating. She gave us tips on a good first ride and was available if we needed to call her. Despite what others say, the trails in this area were fine for horses without shoes. Wide, mostly sandy, with only a few rocky places. Loved the hills and the challenge they presented. Great scenery, ready to go back. Can't recommend Wilderness Resorts enough.

The cabin was incredible!! We stayed in one for our honeymoon, and found first class accommodations - beautifully built, nice big deck/porch, outdoor hot tub, private pond. (Our dog loved his own pond for swimming all day!) The mules were very comfortable in full boxed stalls and very large, grassy, outdoor paddocks. For good or bad, we couldn't have found people if we wanted to! Town was quite a drive, the cabin was extremely private, and we were very secluded. (We were able to call the host for a truck jump!) The trails were very scenic (saw a momma bear and three cubs) and shady, but not quite as strenuous as we'd hoped or as rocky as we'd expected. It's also worth trailering up to Bear Creek for a day's ride to the mine.
