Absolutely loved our first trip to Perry Lake. It definitely won't be our last! Excellent, well cared for campground with pipe corals assigned to each site. Roomy corrals in excellent condition. Trails are shady, well marked and maintained. Electric and water at each of the 16 sites. Water pressure is low but when the camping and riding are this good, who cares! This specific camping area has no shower house however there is one nearby. A portable toilet is in camp. There are manure bunkers with nice wheelbarrows. Most in our group had barefoot horses and for the 3 days we were there they did fine. There were some rocky areas but they were mixed in and our horses were able to pick their way through. This is a hidden gem only a few hours from home. Don't know how we missed it. Some real thought and experience went into planning this camp. Highly recommended for a long weekend! Trails were not particularly challenging but very enjoyable for almost any level rider.

Great camp sites, good trails, marked well, cleaned, shower house just down from camping area, stalls for horses, day parking area. Lots of muddy creek crossings some pretty trees, the Christmas tree you can bring an ornament to help decorate:), the wishing well and picnic spot.... don't need shoes necessarily but it's getting rockier these days....

Volunteers have done a lot of work on both the campground and the trails. Plans are in the works for additional utility sites. When completed, there will be a total of 15 with electric and water. Eight are currently in place with seven more planned for spring of 2015. Once camp sites are in, our friends group will erect pipe corrals and build manure bunks. Unfortunately, due to ledge rock, water lines are not deep enough to withstand winter temps and must be drained for the winter season. A grant request was recently completed to ask for funding to construct a group shelter house with toilet and shower facilities included. Keep your fingers crossed. Next fund raiser ride is Apr 25, 2015.

Ride these trail all the time. Some hills but no bad, when rain can be slick. Lots of timber or you can ride along fields. Camp has nothing put water, bath house is down the hill (can be a long hike).
