There is no horse camp but easy access parking area for day rides. I've only ridden one trail, but it had beautiful views of Fontana lake. Water for the horse was a problem. There was only one small creek crossing and it didn't have horse access. I carry a collapsible bucket for such situations. The other problem with the trails is that they are maintained at bicycle rider height because the Tsali area has heavy use by bike riders and not horse riders. Therefore, you get a lot of branches to the head. The trails have designated days for horse or bicycle use so the critters don't cross paths and spook each other. I would consider the trails to be easy to moderate, definitely not rugged or steep. |
