This is a nice easy day ride. There is one trail around the lake. There are a couple of water crossings and a few minor hills. It takes about two hours to make one trip around at a walk. There is no individual camping at this location You must rent the campgrounds as a group.

Love the facility, but the footing has alot of rocks and can be very muddy and impassable in places. Won't be going again, my horse hates the rocks. Stone bruise's and absses's equal downtime and vet bills.

I rode here a lot while I was going to Ball State and always had a great time! The trail is a nice distance, not too short, not too long, and a nice mix of riding in the woods and alongside of fields. One particular section runs beside the resevoir which you can ride down to and go swimming with the horses! Its the best on a hot sunny day!

Westwood is trail that I return to. the day that I've been there really can't be pinpointed b/c ive gone there on average two or three times a month, weather permitting, since my horse was rideable. This trail is good for inexperienced and experienced horses, but needs an intermediate rider.

We really like this park. Don't go after rain, as it can get very muddy, and if your horse does'nt like water, the crossing can be tricky. Just go after a long dry spell. Nice mix of wood, pasture, and everything inbetween. We had beginner riders and horses and they all did just fine.

Nice facility, good trails. Probably not best for the first time horse unless it is in very good physical condition.
